I Depend on Your Good Word.
I Need Your 5-Star Online Reviews!
This is the Best way You can help me publish more stories as an Indie Author. I have no big time publisher behind me. It's just You and Me.
Since my 1st novel has come out, I've learned A LOT about how ratings work, especially through Amazon.com (The vast majority of my sales are through them). More than just about anything else, these Ratings affect how successful my future writing career will go (or not go).
Most people don't understand how Amazon's Star Rating Algorithm works. I know I didn't before I became a published author. You would think a 4 or 3 star review means you thought the product/book was "decent but not perfect." It Does Not!
In a nutshell, as I understand it, Amazon's star-rating algorithm is weighted towards the Negative, instead of the positive. So that even a 4-star Review is considered a "Negative" rating within the algorithm. Which would mean 3, 2, & 1 are that much worse.
This is because once you average below a 4.5 Star Rating, it becomes harder to be seen in search results and makes advertising more difficult and costly. If you go below 4.0, it becomes significantly worse.
If in all good conscience you can't give me a 5-star review, I understand. Really, I do. But if you're not actively rooting against me (or anyone else you review), then I'd rather you didn't leave a 4-star or below review through Amazon.
If you enjoyed my book, please take a minute and leave a positive 5-Star online review. It’ll help me for a lifetime… and it’ll allow you to feel justified when you buy an entire cake to eat just for yourself as a good deed reward.

5-Star Review?
Click the "HELPFUL" button on other people's 5-Star Written Reviews on Amazon. As well as "Upvoting" and/or Liking other online reviews. This gives extra "weight" to the rating from someone else. You'll deserve a cookie every time you do!
